Candace Lamb
Director, Tandon Career Hub
NYU | Tandon School of Engineering Candace Lamb, PhD (she/hers) is Director of the Tandon Career Hub in the Office of Student Life & Services. Candace has a professional background in career services, particularly with STEM students, LGBTQ+ services, and first generation college student success. Candace is passionate about professional development and career success for first gen students, students of color, women in STEM, LGBTQ+ students, and international students. Prior to joining NYU Tandon, Candace created and oversaw the Career Skills Academy at the CUNY School of Public Health and Policy, which focused on professional skills development for underrepresented student populations. Candace has a PhD in Educational Leadership and Policy from the University of Texas at Austin, a masters in education from the University of Louisville, and a degree in Non-Profit Administration from the University of South Carolina-Upstate. Candace loves traveling, memoirs, and having new experiences in NYC.This Masterclass was hosted by the NYU Tandon School of Engineering, where participants gained invaluable insights into navigating the U.S. job search. In this session, the Assistant Director of the Tandon Career Hub shared key strategies for understanding the job search process, effectively marketing oneself, and positioning for career success. Whether prospective students or recent graduates, attendees had the opportunity to enhance their career prospects and learn tips and tricks that made a difference in their job search journey. It was a unique chance to set oneself up for success in the U.S. job market!
