Boehringer Ingelheim and St. John Giancarlo Crocetti is an experienced professional specializing in data science, AI, and digital health innovation within the pharmaceutical industry. As Senior Associate Director of Analytics & Insight in Medical Affairs at Boehringer Ingelheim, he leads initiatives that integrate data analytics and AI to enhance clinical development and medical affairs. Previously, he was Associate Director - Capability Lead for Data Science & AI Enablement, focusing on transforming marketing and sales through AI and data science. Giancarlo has also led the Software as a Medical Device (SaMD) initiative in respiratory and CNS therapeutic areas, driving the global launch of digital health technologies. He has worked on AI-based NLP/NLU projects to enhance search platforms and deep learning systems. In addition to his industry role, Giancarlo has been an Adjunct Full Professor at St. John’s University since 2015, teaching graduate-level courses in data mining, predictive analytics, and big data.
