KPMG Canada Kunal is the Partner and Co-Leader of KPMG Digital Asset CoE. He possesses over 12 years of experience conducting and leading compliance and risk assessments, red flag due diligence, valuation, technology audits for crypto, fintech, TradFi and technology sectors. He has been involved in the crypto and blockchain space since 2015, and as the first crypto hire in the firm, Kunal established KPMG Canada’s Crypto & Blockchain practice, driving firm’s strategy, products and service offerings that bridge the gap between crypto firms, tradFi, DeFi, and regulators on a global scale. He led the firm’s crypto treasury, NFT and digital twin initiatives. Kunal continues to work with the community, regulators, as well as financial services and institutional investors in both traditional finance and crypto space globally for promoting and enabling institutionalization of cryptoassets while managing the risks in the space. He has supported numerous organizations globally enable crypto products and services. Kunal sits on the board of Canadian Blockchain Consortium (CBC) and leads CBC’s center of excellence responsible for governance of all committees
