Garth Herbert
Associate Director of Recruiting
Carlson School of Management Garth Herbert is an Associate Director of Recruiting for the Carlson School of Management MBA and MS programs. He has spent his career in higher education assisting students at all points in their educational journey, recently moving into Carlson School graduate admissions a year and a half ago. Garth not only works on the admissions and recruitment team, but he is also a recent graduate of the Carlson School Part-time MBA program, granting him a unique perspective as both a staff member and alumnus. He moved to Minnesota five years ago with his wife, and enjoys hiking, attending hockey games, and going out to the movies with his friends.
Pankaj Nandal
Analyst in Data Science
American Express Pankaj Nandal brings more than six years of expertise in analytics and risk management. Currently, he serves as an Analyst in Data Science at American Express. Previously, Pankaj held roles as an Analyst in Risk Management at American Express, a Solution Delivery Analyst at McKinsey & Company, and an Associate Data Analyst at Optum Global Solutions (UHG).
Anshu Mehta
Manager, Advanced Analytics
Walmart Anshu Mehta is currently working as Manager, Advanced Analytics at Walmart, where she builds optimization models that help improve how inventories move across the network. Before starting her MSBA, she worked on marketing analytics and product strategy projects in India. She enjoys exploring how data and algorithms can make everyday decisions smarter and more efficient.
Jeswyn Jas
Data Scientist
Wayfair Jeswyn Jas is a Data Scientist at Wayfair, where she focuses on developing and optimizing Search & Recommendation models to enhance how customers discover and engage with products. She holds an M.S. in Business Analytics from the Carlson School of Management, where she led diverse analytics projects across industries including the public sector, CPG, and aviation—most notably building an NLP-based model that automated the classification of over 80,000 aviation safety reports. Prior to graduate school, Jeswyn worked with Uber and Fractal Analytics, contributing to projects in experimentation, predictive modeling, and demand forecasting. Beyond data science, she is deeply passionate about sports and travel—a state-level athlete who brings the same discipline, focus, and resilience to her professional pursuits.
