Elisa Zervos
Director, Career & Professional Development - Graduate & Online Programs
The Peter J. Tobin College of Business, St. John’s University, Tobin College of Business As an ICF Certified Professional Coach specializing in Career Transition and Leadership Development, I integrate my education, a career in operation management, and my international experience to effectively guide leaders to higher levels of effectiveness throughout their professional journey. After coaching hundreds of out-placed individuals during the “Great Recessionâ€, it was a natural fit to come to St. John’s University Career Services and apply the same coaching techniques to our future generation of employees, preparing them to be ‘market-ready’ upon graduation. I meet with students, representing ~114 countries, through comprehensive individual and group career advisement sessions. I’ve increased engagement to career services by facilitating >40 in-class presentations per Academic Year, programming and promoting attendance to Career Services sponsored events and collaborating often with our dedicated faculty. As an Adjunct Professor for the Collins College of Professional Studies, I teach Public Speaking to incoming 1Y students and how to “discover their voices†by learning the art of storytelling as it relates to their professional journey.
