Ayomikun Akintayo is a Senior Risk Management Leader with over 10 years of experience spanning credit risk, enterprise risk management, operational risk oversight, and governance reporting across the banking, fintech, and retail sectors. Currently, Ayomikun works at Loblaw Companies Limited within Stores Application Risk Management, where he focuses on remediating vulnerabilities and strengthening the organization’s overall security posture. A Tech MBA graduate from the Schulich School of Business (with Distinction), Ayomikun combines his background in risk, data, and technology to drive digital transformation, enhance risk governance, and deliver stakeholder-aligned, data-driven solutions. He also served as Director of Technology for the Black Graduate Business Network (BGBN), leading its revival and the launch of its first Tech Mixer. Recognized for his inclusive leadership, analytical depth, and results-oriented mindset, Ayomikun continues to champion innovation, resilience, and impact at the intersection of business, technology, and risk management.
Areebah Hassan
Manager, Data & AI
CIBC Areebah Hassan is a 2025 graduate of Schulich’s Master of Management in Artificial Intelligence (MMAI) and currently works at CIBC as a Manager in the Data & AI team within Internal Audit. In her role, she helps shape and implement data and AI strategy for the function from designing analytics and AI use cases to driving adoption of new tools and initiatives in audit work. With a background that bridges business and technology, Areebah is especially passionate about making AI understandable and practical for non-technical stakeholders and helping organizations adopt AI in a responsible, value-driven way.

Schulich School of Business, York University Sara Thomas- Sarah Thomas is the Manager of Recruitment and Marketing at the Schulich School of Business, York University, where she leads strategic initiatives to attract and support prospective students across Schulich’s graduate programs. With nearly a decade of experience in higher education across admissions, communications, and program management, she has previously held key roles at Smith School of Business, contributing to application advising, executive education, and certificate programs.
