But its most profound impact is not technological; it is human. In this master class, we explore how AI is reshaping the very foundations of leadership and why effective leaders create value far beyond what algorithms can deliver. The session examines four critical leadership disruptions: meaning (when AI optimizes without understanding purpose or values), identity (as leadership shifts from expert authority to inquiry and presence), systems (from rigid hierarchies to adaptive, distributed organizations), and development (revealing the limits of traditional skill-based leadership training). Together, these disruptions explain why leadership today demands much more than technical or functional excellence. This master class offers a preview of Schulich’s distinctive approach to graduate education: developing leaders who can navigate complexity, exercise judgment, and create human value in an AI-enabled world.
