Raghuram Kowdeed
Quantitative Researcher
Millennium Raghuram Kowdeed (MFE 2018) is a Quantitative Researcher focusing on Long-Short Equities and Options. Having honed his skills at renowned hedge funds like Citadel, Exodus Point, and Millennium, Raghuram is adept at researching, developing, and implementing sophisticated trading strategies. Raghuram Kowdeed graduated from the Berkeley Haas MFE in 2018. During the MFE program, Raghuram interned at Citadel ,before transitioning to a full-time quantitative researcher. Beyond his professional pursuits, Raghuram is a passionate dog lover who enjoys exploring the great outdoors through hiking and immersing himself in the beauty of nature.

Goldman Sachs Neerja is currently working at Goldman Sachs within the Investment Strategy Group in New York. At Goldman Sachs, she focuses on crafting investment strategies for the firm’s private wealth clients. Neerja graduated from the Berkeley Haas MFE program in 2022. During her time in the MFE program, she interned at Oxygen Inc., where she contributed to developing alternative credit scoring models aimed at enhancing equitable lending opportunities. She also holds an undergraduate degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Mumbai.
Debarshi Basu
Managing Director
BlackRock Debarshi is the head of quantitative research. He developed BlackRock's proprietary ESG framework (Sustainable Investing Intelligence) that drives BlackRock's dedicated active sustainable portfolios. Debarshi graduated from the Berkeley Haas MFE in 2015. Additionally, he holds a Masters and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas, and a B.tech in Electrical Engineering from IIT Madras. He published more than 20 journal articles in the field of Electrical Engineering, Physics, Material Science and Neuroscience, which he presented in peer reviewed conferences. He also co-authored a book chapter and submitted two patents. He developed a deep interest in finance and the economy after the 2008 financial crisis. Debarshi is interested in applying his quantitative and software engineering skills in the finance industry.
